The cover provided
by Group insurance policies begins to apply immediately after purchase
if an existing group is being replaced. However, if it's a new policy,
there will be a 120-day wait in case of illnesses.
Accidents and infectious diseases are covered from the start. Maternity
treatment is only covered after 15 months of the policy's start.
